DEndritic Systems
The 'Dendritic Systems-Lagan' visual research project was made possible by a SIAP funding award from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, which facilitated a systematic visual and performative exploration of the Source of the River Lagan, and young river, at Slieve Croob, Northern Ireland.
The overarching aim for this project was to create a series of site-specific sculptures that mapped the cultural significance, conceptual potential and rich socio-topographical Landscape of the River Lagan, and to quantify an experience of the River, not as viewer but as participant.
These works negotiate the material and non-material experiences of Place with Sculpture as collaborator, and as nomadic device that connects the Body with the psychogeography of wilderness and the transformative potential of nature.
